Humanitarian crisis deepens in Gaza! 14000 children may die in the next 48 hours, UN warns

The United Nations has issued a very worrying warning about the serious humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The organization has said that if immediate aid is not provided, about 14,000 children may lose their lives within the next 48 hours. This warning has shaken the world community.

International News: After 11 weeks of strict blockade of Gaza, Israel has given some relief due to international pressure. After pressure from the US, France, Canada and Britain, Israel has allowed limited humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. However, this relief is still considered insufficient. UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher said only five trucks carrying nutritional food for children arrived in Gaza on Monday. He described it as "a drop in the ocean" and said it was insufficient to reach those in need.  Risk of death due to starvation in 48 hoursIn an interview, Fletcher said, "If we are unable to provide help in the next 48 hours, 14,000 children may die.

Global Leaders Condemn Israel's Actions in Gaza

We are taking risks to provide infant food to mothers who are unable to feed anything to their malnourished children." According to him, the situation has become very dire and it is getting worse day by day. Global leaders warn IsraelBritish Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney issued a joint statement criticising Israel's action in Gaza. They demanded the full resumption of humanitarian aid from the Israeli government and warned that joint action would be taken if it did not continue. The threat of forced displacement of Palestinians by some ministers of the Netanyahu government has further fueled international outrage. 

Quick entry of aid trucks

Tom Fletcher expressed hope that the aid will increase in the coming days. He said, "We hope that at least 100 trucks will reach Gaza today, which will contain essential nutrition and food items for children." He also said that through these trucks we can save the lives of thousands of children.Aid assessment and groundworkWhen asked how to accurately gauge the danger to the lives of 14,000 children, Fletcher said UN teams were visiting schools, hospitals and other places to assess needs. He also acknowledged that many workers involved in this work have been killed, but many are still active on the ground. 

Change in Israeli strategy 

Prime Minister Netanyahu said on Sunday night that Israel is providing some relief to prevent starvation in Gaza for "diplomatic reasons." However, he also made it clear that this relief will be limited to a minimum level.Earlier, stopping humanitarian aid was seen as a strategic pressure in Israel's policy, but due to global criticism and internal pressure, Netanyahu has had to soften his strategy a bit.
